Does government spending affect Human Development Index in East Java Province

This study aims to analyze the effect of government spending on education, health and infrastructure sectors Human Development Index (IPM) in East Java. The variables used are HDI, sectors. uses secondary data Java form quantitative from 11 regencies Tapal Kuda Region Madura Island 2017-2021. research is sourced Central Bureau Statistics Directorate General Fiscal Balance. analysis method panel using Fixed Effect Model (FEM) method. results showed that education had a negative significant HDI Java, while sector positive Based individual analysis, it shows highest Banyuwangi Regency. Meanwhile, lowest influence was Sampang Regency.
